Halliwell Jones Southport is looking for a Workshop Controller.
Your role
The position is located at our Southport Centre, which consists of Aftersales and BMW and MINI Sales.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the workshop and its staff to achieve an agreed level of quality, efficiency, and profitability.
2. Manage workshop activity relating to BMW Technical issues and systems and overall productivity.
Your profile
1. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent City and Guilds or BTEC accreditation) qualified with extensive experience working in a Franchised Centre (ideally in a BMW / Prestige centre) and be highly skilled at fault diagnosis.
2. Technical knowledge and passion for BMW products and technology.
3. Deliver first-time fix to meet customer satisfaction.
4. Ability to work autonomously and within given timescales.
5. Ability to comply with warranty write-ups and ensure all chargeable labour and workshop consumables are recorded on the job card.
6. Highly motivated, team player that offers help and support to others, with attention to detail.
7. Willingness to learn and develop personal knowledge, keeping up-to-date with complex/technical/product information to improve profitability.
8. An outstanding attitude and passion for customer service.
9. An enthusiastic, dynamic, and team-oriented personality.
10. Ability to deal with customers when necessary.
11. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
12. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
13. Thorough knowledge of computer applications and diagnosis equipment.
