The post holder will be a senior member of the Estates & Facilities team, leading on security strategy & violence reduction, ensuring a proactive & robust security culture across the organisation. They will act as subject matter expert on security management, violence reduction, security systems & ensuring the implementation of national standards & guidance across the Trust.
Will be responsible for the day-to-day management of car parking operations.
The post holder may need to work unsocial hours to meet specific service demands.

The post holder will develop, plan & lead a long-term security management strategy which includes reducing crime & violence & improvements to the operational response of the security team.
Main Duties of the Job
Lead & co-ordinate security, crime and violence reduction across the Trust.
Develop, lead & ensure the implementation of robust work programs required to deliver a pro-security culture, violence reduction, staff safety, patient safety & asset protection.
Ensure evidence is collected and assembled in line with judicial requirements for use by the Crown Prosecution Service or other legal services.
Ensure security incidents are investigated professionally, fairly & objectively so that suitable sanctions may be applied, preventative action considered, & recommendations implemented.
Work with the Police and CPS to ensure cases are progressed accordingly & applicable sanctions are applied against those responsible for security incidents.
Ensure lessons learnt from security incidents & breaches both local to the Trust & nationally are analysed & preventive measures are developed.
Provide subject matter advice to staff who have been victims of abuse, providing a supportive service in a sensitive manner, advising on actions that can be taken by the police or CPS.
Work with the communications team to promote Security, Crime & Violence Reduction work streams being undertaken.
To develop & manage the Security Team.
Have oversight of all security related risks across the trust, using Datix & related systems.
Work with & advise senior managers on mitigation & closure of risks, escalating risks as required to the Trust risk register.

Job Responsibilities
Security, Crime and Violence Reduction
Implement Counter Terrorist Strategies and Procedures with the support of the Police Counter Terrorism Specialist.
To produce reports for a broad range of internal and external audiences relating to Security, Crime and Violence Reduction and topics identified by threat level to the NHS.
Ensure annual site security surveys are completed Trust wide.
Ensure lessons learnt from security incidents and breaches both local to the Trust and nationally are analysed and preventive measures are developed.

Manage the Security Department budget, ensuring where applicable/appropriate value for money is sought. Provide advice on trust saving schemes to ensure security provisions are not compromised leading to increased security risks, crime and violence.
Have oversight of all security related risks across the trust, using Datix and related systems.
Work with and advise senior managers on mitigation and closure of risks, escalating risks as required to the Trust risk register.
To build successful working relationships with internal, external stakeholders and partners.
Lead on Trust-wide physical security management to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements inform related policies and procedures. Such as: BS 16000 Security Management and upcoming Bills such as Terrorism (Protection of Premises) are considered in advance.
Car Parking
Lead Trust wide on the day-to-day management of the Trusts car parking provisions.
Reply to complaints regarding the day-to-day management of the Trust car parking provisions.
Report where appropriate on car parking income.
Lead client for the Trusts ANPR and Enforcement service provider. Ensuring the Trust is receiving the appropriate service levels and capitalise on new technologies offered.
Assist the lead Car Parking & Travel planner with advice on car parking policy.

Qualifications Essential
* Masters or equivalent in Security or equivalent
* Extensive Security experience covering operational security, systems and project management
* Health & Safety certificate or equivalent
* Level 3 Conflict Resolution Training or significant demonstrable experience
* Qualified personal safety & conflict resolution trainer
Desirable
* Accredited LSMS
* Membership or working towards the Security Institute
* Chartered Security Professional or working towards
