Job Title: Interim Process Project Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled interim Process Project Engineer to work with our global FMCG client Unilever. As an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment, you will lead the implementation of engineering projects within the Sourcing Units.
The role is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, and is easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary position that requires 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of engineering projects, including design, installation, and commissioning of process plant and equipment.
* Prepare equipment schedules, cost schedules, and project documentation.
* Install, test, and commission plant equipment related to engineering projects.
* Conduct technical surveys and feasibility studies to enable project decisions.
* Create scope documents to ensure equipment design and installation meets standards.
* Work with Process designers to ensure plant and process are designed correctly.
* Manage contractors safely through installation, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, signing permits, completing audits, and signing off on completion.
* Manage civil aspects of plant installation, such as ground works for new vessel installations.
* Provide stakeholder updates for projects.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Hygienic plant and process design.
* Managed the design and installation of plant equipment (including tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, valves, manifolds, CiP systems).
* Managing contractors safely during installation.
* Ability to understand process P&ID's and plant flow layouts.
* Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
* Chemical engineering background or relevant experience in process projects.
* Project management qualification or relevant experience.
* IOSH Managing safety certification.

Compensation:
This role offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
Additional Information:
Occasional weekend work may be required, as well as some UK-based travel.
