*Due to the hands-on nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to work onsite, full time, at GSK Barnard Castle.

As a Senior Laboratory Analyst, you will perform analyses, investigations and decision making to support the operation of the laboratory function and to meet the business needs of GSK.
In this role you will…
1. Perform a range of analytical tests independently and accurately on all products of a single dose form according to approved methods and protocols in a safe and GMP compliant manner in adherence with appropriate company, national and international policies and regulations. Record all data using appropriate systems as it is generated for inclusion in reports to internal customers and regulatory bodies.
2. May schedule the workload for other team members over a short (1 to 2 weeks horizon).
3. Identify out of specification (OOS) and out of trend (OOT) data, lead laboratory investigations to determine root cause and appropriate corrective and preventative actions as well as peer reviewing data generated by other analysts and approval of the data for batch progression.
4. Create, review and update laboratory documentation as required, demonstrating clear, reliable and timely decision-making skills.
5. Use laboratory IT systems (CDS, LIMs, SAP etc.) at an advanced user level, usually with permissions to approve transactions performed by other staff and provides support to these systems, ensuring the laboratory is always inspection ready by maintaining clean and tidy personal and communal work areas, set standards, monitor and remediate sub-standard housekeeping by other team members.
6. Participates in level 1 inspections of own area to identify and maintain compliance standards for quality, safety, health and environmental issues.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
1. A Levels in Science or equivalent.
2. Significant experience working in a GxP laboratory.
3. Significant experience in testing release and stability batches.
4. Significant experience of current GLP expectations.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
1. BSc in Scientific discipline or equivalent.
