We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our clients team on the A140 Long Stratton Bypass scheme. This project includes constructing a 3.9km single carriageway bypass, three roundabouts, two overbridges, and two new junctions. The role involves overseeing setting-out and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
* Provide site engineering duties within a designated section of the project, establishing level and survey control, and setting out works in line with contract drawings.
* Assist the site management team in managing sections of the work and specific sub-contractor packages.
* Liaise with client representatives and designers to resolve design issues and changes.
* Take responsibility for checking delivered materials to ensure compliance with specifications, including subcontractor materials.
* Conduct quality checks in line with the inspection and test plan, recording results throughout the contract.
* Maintain accurate records for all site activities, including calibration documents, check registers, and records for excavations, concrete pours, and reinforcement.
* Conduct surveys of completed works to record as-built conditions.
* Assist in preparing method statements, task briefings, and inspection and test plans.
* Ensure safety standards are adhered to and work cooperatively with colleagues to meet statutory requirements.

About You:
You should have experience working on infrastructure or civil works, including earthworks, highways, structures, drainage, or utilities. You'll be comfortable collaborating with Section Engineers, sub-contractors, and the site management team to ensure successful project delivery.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
* HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and working towards ICE membership.
* Experience with setting out on civil engineering projects and managing daily on-site activities.
* CSCS Card.
* Desirable: Cable avoidance training, First Aid training, and IOSH/SSSTS training.
* Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with the project delivery team and clients.
