About the vacancy
As a Warehouse Planner, you will be responsible for carrying out all necessary work correctly for planning and coordinating all activities as required for the logistical process to proceed smoothly in order to carry out clients’ orders.
You will be responsible for planning the orders and coordinating the logistical activities.
The planner manages the planning system and the planning archive in accordance with the guidelines and agreements made with the General Manager.
Giving instructions to forklift truck drivers, operators, and pickers to ensure the logistical orders are carried out efficiently. Please be aware that this list is not exhaustive and is instead intended as a guide for your role. As part of your role, you may be required to undertake additional reasonable duties which are not detailed above.
Main tasks:
1. Scheduling orders
2. Using the warehouse management system
3. In consultation with the assistant planner
4. In accordance with agreements with clients and hauliers
5. Issuing process orders to forklift truck drivers and pickers
6. Monitoring the schedule and making adjustments if necessary
7. Maintaining daily contact with clients and hauliers or their representatives on progress, priorities, anomalies, and problems
8. Identifying anomalies and problems, informing the site manager, and agreeing on measures to be taken
9. Processing the administrative information relating to the logistical activities
10. Managing the logistics employees
Additional tasks:
1. Keeping up to date on developments in the area of work
2. Continuing to focus on opportunities for improvements and cost savings
3. Actively exchanging information and knowledge with the other sites
4. Actively working on the development of personal performance
Job Requirements:
1. Basic Numeracy skills
2. Basic English Skills
3. Specific Requirements:
4. Broad knowledge of the use of the applied planning system
5. Wide experience in computers and software
6. Knowledge of the warehouse system
7. Experienced user of computer and software
8. Working a 4 on 4 off pattern
9. Days will work 4 on 4 off 06:30am – 18:30pm
10. Nights will work 4 on 4 off 18:30pm – 06:30am
