The Role.
As a Commercial Insurance Sales Account Executive, you will look after clients with premiums up to and including £8,000, where a relationship is still needing to be maintained, but physical visits are not a necessity. Along with the relationship management piece, you will be responsible for a new business. Coming into this role you will be no stranger to looking for opportunities to grow your book of business.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Contact potential customers (known as leads) via any medium deemed appropriate (mostly telephone and e-mail) to obtain their risk information for the purposes of passing these on to a sales advisor to quote on and convert into a live policy for the business.
2. To answer questions accurately and truthfully posed by leads in relation to their insurance needs, obtaining answers where necessary from more senior staff members.
3. Handle incoming communication(s) from both leads and/or insurers in a timely manner, avoiding delays, either by answering their needs or passing them through to the appropriate staff member.
4. Processing sales post quotations by a sales advisor including collection of premium(s) and any details required to complete the processing of a policy for passing over to the administration team.
5. Chasing potential customers using the diary and communication(s) systems to maximise sales for the business.
