Are you a qualified and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN)? We're currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teacher to join a highly respected SEN school in Bridgend, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils.
This specialist setting caters to learners with a wide range of additional learning needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
With small class sizes (typically 8-10 pupils), the school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, using a multi-sensory teaching approach tailored to individual needs. Creativity and flexibility in lesson planning are encouraged to help every child access the curriculum in a way that works for them.
As the SEN Teacher, you'll:
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire and support every pupil.
* Collaborate closely with support staff and therapists to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual education plans (IEPs) and learning styles.
* Create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
* Experience teaching pupils with SEN is highly desirable, but not essential if you bring genuine enthusiasm and adaptability.
* A proactive and creative teaching style.
* Commitment to supporting the personal and academic growth of children with diverse learning needs.
* Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive education.
