The Role
This opportunity is well suited to an individual with a good blend of regulatory experience and managerial expertise, allowing them to provide a period of continuity and stability to both the team and stakeholders during the period of maternity cover. This role is scheduled to commence ASAP until March 2026.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing a team of legal assistants and case workers to ensure they are fully supported in their prioritisation and decision making.
2. Ensuring the team works efficiently to deliver against response targets in a timely fashion.
3. Handling the more complex cases within the team.
4. Advising and guiding your team of case workers to make good quality and evidence-based decisions within the regulatory framework.
5. Identifying risk within a regulatory complaint context and escalating urgent cases as necessary.
The Candidate
This role could be well suited to a Solicitor, Barrister, or non-legally qualified individual with exposure to investigations work/case work within a regulatory context. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate small-team management experience across areas such as day-to-day supervision, handling of personnel issues, and performance management. It is likely that you will have spent at least 4 years within a regulatory environment and will have worked within a high-volume casework team.
