About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Removal Site Supervisor to manage on-site operations for our client’s asbestos removal projects. Reporting directly to Asbestos Removal Contract Managers, you will lead a team of removal operatives and subcontract staff, ensuring that all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with legislative and company standards.
Responsibilities
* On-Site Management: Execute all duties as per the employment contract and oversee day-to-day operations.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to legislative requirements and company health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Team Leadership: Motivate and manage your team, ensuring that both staff and subcontractors understand and meet their responsibilities.
* Coordination: Represent our client on site, ensuring seamless communication with other divisions and the timely resolution of any disputes or issues.
* Inspections & Documentation: Conduct daily and weekly inspections (including RPE checks), log plant and equipment usage, and maintain comprehensive site records.
* Equipment & Process Oversight: Verify that pre-use equipment checks are completed by competent personnel and that all tools and equipment are de-contaminated and properly managed.
Qualifications
* HS&E Touchscreen test for Supervisors (required within one month of start date)
* CSCS Asbestos Removal Supervisors Card (or equivalent credentials)
* Current licensed asbestos medical (renewed biennially) and SEQOHS accredited Safety Critical Medical
* Valid face fit test certifications for both half and full masks
* Up-to-date Asbestos Removal Supervisor training
* Relevant training in Emergency First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Warden e-Learning, and Vehicle Marshal training
* Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, pre-use equipment checks, and maintain accurate site records
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Pay range and compensation package
£18-£22 ph (40 hr week) plus company van, fuel card, pension scheme and adhoc performance incentives.
