Southover CE Primary School is a happy, vibrant school in the heart of Lewes. We are proud of our lovely children, dedicated staff and inclusive ethos.
We are proud to have an outside 'learner' swimming pool for our children which will be open from 3rd June until 21st July 2025, 9.00am - 3.15pm (approx.).
To give the children the best learning opportunities, we are looking for a qualified Lifeguard to lead our children aged 4-11 in their lessons.
Please note that applicants do not necessarily need to already have a lifeguard qualification; training can be provided if required on Friday 25th April 2025.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday 25th March 2025 (9.00am). Interviews are scheduled for Monday 31st March 2025 (am).
Working pattern: Fixed term part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service).
(As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata).

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
