We are recruiting a Duty Supervisor to complement our dedicated, friendly and professional team at our Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, part of the Lochaber Group As Duty Supervisor, you will be assisting with the planning and delivery of catering for our guests, and also covering all roles in the hostel as and when required. This post will become the catering lead for the property. Naturally a great communicator who loves to work as part of a team. Someone who can support and respect their colleagues, whilst delivering the catering and hostel experience for our guests as outlined by our Hostel Group Manager. About the role: Reporting to the Lochaber Group Manager, you will: Provide professional, efficient and effective day-to-day hostel supervison. Deliver high level of quality service and standard with the guest facility provision being welcoming, clean, comfortable, secure, safe, accessible and compliant. Enhances guest experience and exceed their expectations, including dealing with direct guests feedback in a professional manner Take all reasonable steps to ensure the health and safety and security of the guests and visitor at all times Assist the Group Manager and Duty Manager in implementing strategic and operational plans, development priorities, statutory compliance, risk assessments, policies and procedures to achieve Hostelling Scotland’s charitable aims and objectives You will be part of a small team, which means successful candidates live and work closely with colleagues. It is therefore essential that all members are capable and willing to support and respect each other, maintaining team morale to create a positive environment for both guest and employee experience.
