We are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Bushey. What is SEMH? SEMH refers to students who face challenges in managing their emotions, mental health, and social interactions. These students may struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioural issues that impact their ability to learn in a traditional classroom environment. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one or small group support, helping students develop coping mechanisms, build confidence, and re-engage with their education. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, encouraging positive behaviour and emotional resilience. Work closely with teachers and SENCO to develop individualized learning plans. Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, both in and out of the classroom. Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating a calm, supportive learning environment.
