Are you an experienced Shift Manager within a Warehouse environment looking for a new challenge? Can you communicate and build relationships at all levels? The Shift Manager will manage the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve defined outcomes for the site and the customers. To collaborate with other Shift Managers to achieve the site targets. Ensure that the Operational Budgets are achieved in their area and KPI’s are always challenged to find better and more efficient ways of work by engaging with their team and other internal stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities: In addition to the main duties and responsibilities listed below the Warehouse Shift Manager will be expected to perform other duties commensurate with their skills and abilities in the following areas. Safety Security Customer Engagement Resource Planning Performance Management Continuous Improvement Key skills for the role: Communication and relationship building at all levels (Customer, Management, Operations). Ability to work effectively with suppliers and service providers such as hauliers, staff agencies, product suppliers and ensure they are to the required standards for business being conducted. People management skills Understand and apply all Maersk, HSSE policies and procedures. Develop a detailed understanding of the requirements with regards to detailed warehouse management systems. Understand Maersk HR and appraisal procedures.
