The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business within the care home sector, offering a comprehensive procurement solution for consumables, medical supplies, and healthcare equipment. Your consultative approach will help clients streamline purchasing, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. Key Responsibilities Identify and target care homes that would benefit from my clients’ solutions. Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers. Implement a sales strategy and be able to work on your own initiative. Generate new business through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic follow-ups. Conduct client meetings and present tailored solutions. Manage sales pipelines and forecast revenue opportunities. Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the company’s reach. Use the Prima ERP system & Evolution X web to track and manage business activity. Provide data-driven insights to help clients manage budgets and cut costs effectively. What my client is looking for: Experience selling into the care home sector - This is essential. Strong business development and relationship-building skills - You thrive in consultative sales and have a proven track record. Confidence in client presentations and closing deals - You know how to pitch, persuade, and win business. Exceptional negotiation skills - You can secure competitive agreements that benefit both clients and the business. Ability to manage sales pipelines and forecast effectively. IT-savvy - Comfortable using CRM systems, LinkedIn, and research tools for prospecting. Full UK driving license & own transport - A company car may be available on a flexible salary package.
