Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As the Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of each child in your care.

Duties
1. Lead and manage the nursery team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
2. Develop and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children.
3. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
4. Supervise daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and nap times, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment.
5. Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
7. Foster positive relationships among staff, children, and families to create a supportive community.
8. Fulfil legal and statutory requirements and supervise staff on a daily basis.
9. Agree and maintain team goals and monitor the achievements of progress against targets.
10. Effectively manage a team within the nursery and support the Management Team.
11. Ensure compliance as well as implementing and maintaining policies and procedures.
Skills
1. Relevant early childhood qualification/early years qualification.
2. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
3. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
4. Experience in childcare settings with a focus on managing young children effectively.
5. Proven leadership abilities to inspire and guide a team.
6. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
7. Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
8. A nurturing attitude towards children with an understanding of their individual needs.
