We seek a Dietetic Support Worker to join our amiable team in delivering services to this patient demographic and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. Job Description Summary (Key Responsibilities) The incumbent will undertake a variety of duties, both within an office environment and in the homes of patients, among other settings. This position emphasizes direct patient interaction and supervision, as well as delivering training to individuals and groups regarding enteral nutrition and related equipment across multiple settings, including homes, day care centers, nursing homes, hospitals, and schools. Additionally, the role involves assisting patients with equipment-related issues and queries. Office responsibilities encompass maintaining records, entering data, tracking equipment needs and inventory, and coordinating with companies for the home delivery of equipment. The appointee will collaborate with and receive support from the Dietitians in the service, as well as Dietetic Assistant Practitioners, Dietetic Support Workers, and administrative personnel. Candidates must possess outstanding teamwork, communication, organizational, and IT skills, and have a dedication to providing high-quality care to patients, their families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals. Experience in a patient-focused, healthcare-related role is preferred. Knowledge of enteral tube feeding is an advantage, though not mandatory. The role is based at the Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service Headquarters, near the M1/M69 junction.
