Job Description – Energy Efficiency Technician
Overall –
The purpose of the role is to provide a customer-focused installation service ensuring that all technical specifications are adhered to, and all relevant safety checks and precautions are carried out in line with company procedures and best practice methods.
Description –
The energy efficiency technician will be working in a small but dedicated team, and the scope of the role will encompass a wide variety of responsibilities. You will essentially be the face of the business.
1. To consistently achieve Instagroup Ltd’s core values in relation to customer focus, communication, health and safety, quality, teamwork, and organisation.
2. Install all confirmed booked work by the planning team.
3. Communicate with the site supervisor if job specifications cannot be adhered to.
4. Carry out pre- and post-work inspections and take any necessary action to resolve highlighted issues.
5. Effectively communicate with the customer before, during, and after installation, ensuring they are aware of the process and checking their satisfaction upon completion. Ensure all relevant paperwork has been completed and signed, along with photographic evidence; this is essential.
6. Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard by following best practice procedures.
7. Undertake any reasonable task as required by the company.
Essential Skills – Loft Insulation
1. Able to deliver exceptional customer service to all customers and contractors.
2. Can effectively communicate with colleagues and, most importantly, customers.
3. Must have the drive to ensure that health and safety and quality standards are maintained and improved through strict adherence to policies, procedures, and standards.
4. Can plan and organise on-site work.
5. Must be motivated to learn and continually develop expertise.
6. Able to demonstrate commitment and drive while being flexible.
7. Previous experience working in the insulation industry (strongly preferable).
8. Comfortable working in small spaces.
9. Minimum NVQ Level 2 or CSCS card.
10. A satisfactory DBS check.
11. Asbestos awareness - This can be part of the onboarding process if required.
12. Minimum 2-year clean driving licence.
