We are working with a specialist security and logistics business to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their established and expanding team and take the health & safety lead, overseeing all HSQE related matters on a portfolio of projects and contracts The role will be an initial contract day rate for the first 6 months, with potential to be a permanent role following this Responsibilities As Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all Health and Safety related matters, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Your day to day duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • To undertake Site safety inspections • To ensure that corrective actions arising from safety inspections are effectively addressed and closed out for continuous improvement of safe working practices. • Liaison with client representatives • Multiple stakeholder liaison including regulatory authorities • Undertake accident and incident reporting, incident investigation in accordance with the company policies and procedures. • Facilitate and attend Health & Safety meetings • Provide in house training • Support the development and delivery of a consistent approach to Health and Safety across the business. Requirements Previous experience as Health & Safety Manager in a logistics/warehouse/construction project or contract environment Ability to take the reigns and get your 'hands dirty' Relevant qualification in Health & Safety - Degree/Diploma/HNC/HND Chartered or working towards chartered status - NEBOSH
