We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on two major pipe-laying projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civils and utilities projects to contribute to these high-profile works. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor: The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the financial and contractual aspects of two key projects: A £10m pipe-laying project near Reading, with a duration of 4 years. A £4m project in Oxford, involving bridge refurbishment and pipe-laying on the bridge.This position offers hybrid working with occasional site visits required. Candidates based in Reading, Oxford, or South and West London are ideally suited for this role. Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor: Overseeing budgets, costs, and financial forecasting for the projects Managing and administering NEC contracts, ensuring compliance Preparing and finalizing accounts with subcontractors and stakeholders Conducting site visits to assess progress and address financial matters Working closely with project teams to deliver cost-efficient and timely outcomes Providing regular financial updates and guidance to stakeholdersRequirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor: Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally in the civils or utilities sector Strong understanding of NEC contracts and subcontractor management Experience with pipe-laying, infrastructure, or utilities projects is highly advantageous Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills A proactive and detail-oriented approach to cost control and contract managementBenefits: This hybrid role provides flexibility to work from home, the office, or on-site as required.
