We have vacancies available for TRS Service Technicians on rotational positions.
Job Summary:
A TRS Service Technician is responsible for safely and professionally operating casing running equipment at various rig/field sites. This role includes providing maintenance and repair to the company’s equipment to ensure it remains in working condition and complies with manufacturer’s and company’s quality standards. This will be mainly within the UK sector but would be required to travel overseas when operations dictate.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in operations according to customer’s requirements.
* Test and control that all equipment is working as expected and according to procedure.
* Check that all equipment is received and prepare delivery tickets, job reports, time-sheets, and other administrative forms.
* Running and pulling of casing/tubing.
* Independently test, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot company equipment and tools.
* Maintain the equipment.
* Pack equipment in a safe manner before storing or shipment onshore.
* Rig up, run, and rig down various components on a drilling rig.
* Market our services and products.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with all rig, customer, and company personnel.
* Follow rules and procedures, react and report incidents, dangerous behavior, and dangerous situations.
* Participate in emergency drills.
* Participate in OWS pre-job meetings and contribute positively to do the best possible job for our customer.
* Maintain a safe working environment by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), checking tools and equipment, keeping the work area neat, organized, and free of hazards.
* Ensure the highest standard of workmanship produced is in accordance with company expectations and customer, regulatory standards, and specifications.
* Report hazards on location, with equipment, or other workplace shortcomings to a superior without delay.
Competence Requirements:
* Formal background; Extensive knowledge of the components and functionality of Tubular Running Service (TRS) Manual Handling Equipment, Power Equipment, Remote Operated, and Thread Monitoring Systems.
* Experience with hand tools and hydraulically activated equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good English skills, both oral and in writing.
* Mechanical background would be preferred but not essential.
* Training according to competence matrix for TRS personnel.
