Responsibilities Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and all policies of the company Manage tasks with design and project engineering support within the vehicle packaging team Supply CAD models and drawings suitable for producing components by various manufacturing processes. Take projects through to manufacture and therefore be responsible for every detail of the design Design and development of CAD, administration activity; BOM (Bill of Materials), DVP (Design Verification Plan), Family Tree and Release activity in-line with the companies NPI process and customer specific process Implement GD&T into designs Work closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to meet design targets and drive the most cost-effective solutions Work closely with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and to control the engineering change process. Ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) philosophy is integrated into designs Communicate with the Lead/Principal Engineers to ensure you have the required level of support and help when required Support Programme team to ensure project deliverables are achieved Communicate design solutions Maintain communication with internal and external customers on a regular basis Participate in formal and on the job training which will be provided regards the use of software and design techniques Always support your team. Essential Skills Engineering degree or equivalent within a relevant subject Good Understanding of CAD and CAE Literacy – Catia V5 within packaging discipline CATIA V5 – Part modelling/Drafting and surfacing capabilities Engineering design knowledge Ability and awareness of design to manufacturing process Understanding importance of managing engineering change requests and claim management Ability to work efficiently within your role Strong communication skills Excels in organisational skills and time management A drive to learn and improve at every opportunity Willingness to support others Positive attitude towards mastering challenges and changes.
