Here at HireGiant, we are working with a client renowned as a world-leading manufacturer of cleaning and food products across the UK. They need an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work with their current close-knit maintenance team to support the ongoing planned maintenance and reactive maintenance on their new site.
The Role:
The Maintenance Engineer will need to be competent and experienced with all aspects of electrical and mechanical maintenance plans and reactive maintenance across the site. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has previous experience working in a similar FMCG field, specifically on pneumatic machines (air or gas). The right candidate will be an integral part of the team and our client's day-to-day running on site, helping in company growth by streamlining their manufacturing processes. Requirements for this role:
1. You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the facility and the “Planned Preventative Maintenance” system.
2. Ensure at all times the plant is maintained to ensure safe, efficient, and timely continued operation.
3. Where required, assist with the installation and implementation of capital projects.
4. Adhere to relevant procedures and assist where required with the control of contractors involved with maintenance operations and capital projects while working at the facility.
5. Work as a team player within the engineering department and help meet all agreed objectives.
6. Assist with compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality policies when required.
7. Assist in maintaining a strong health and safety awareness culture within the engineering and other departments.
8. Follow any specified requirements on risk assessments in relation to the engineering and other department functions.
9. Follow the requirements of permits and safe systems of work.
10. Ensure that site housekeeping in sections within your control is maintained to the required standard.
Qualifications & Skills required in this Maintenance Engineer's role:
1. Recognised Engineering qualification, minimum of a level 3.
2. Multi-skilled approach with an electrical bias.
3. Experience of working with manufacturing machinery.
4. Background preferably in Food Manufacturing or FMCG.
Hours & Pay:
The work is Monday to Friday, you will be alternating shifts each week:
1. Week 1 - 07:00am - 15:30pm Monday to Friday
2. Week 2 - 14:00pm - 22:00pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £45,000 Annually.
