As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the company products meet the customers' requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and manage requirements for our hardware products.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with project engineering leads, engineers, and customers to gather and document requirements for new and existing products.
2. Analyse and prioritise requirements to ensure that they align with product vision and specific standards, including testing and evidencing that the requirements have been met.
3. Develop and maintain a requirements management system to track changes and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of updates.
4. Collaborate with development teams to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
5. Work with project managers to ensure that requirements are managed whilst balancing cost, quality and schedule.
Experience needed:
6. Ideally qualified to degree-level or equivalent experience in a Physics or Engineering based subject, such as; Electronics, Hardware, Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering etc.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Experience with requirements management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS or Jama
10. Familiarity with continuous improvement development methodologies.
Desirable:
11. Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
12. Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
