This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the most well-respected and successful M&E contractors within the fast-moving London construction market.
With a turnover exceeding £400m, this long-established and successful mechanical and electrical contractor is now looking to add valuable experience to its on-site management team in the form of a Mechanical and Electrical Construction Manager.
A successful applicant will have a proven track record within the London market, demonstrating longevity at their previous/current companies in the role of MEP Construction Manager. They should be able to show a recent record of managing large packages at site level, responsible for all aspects of the sub-contract and direct labour force. This role will require someone to oversee the onsite MEP installation of building services with a value of £4-5 million over multiple floors of the development.
Formal qualifications are a must, as well as relevant H&S certification, such as SMSTS. Experience working at Construction Manager level on commercial new-build and fit-out schemes is preferable, ideally on projects valued at circa £15m+ where you have managed all aspects of the MEP building services installation.
You will be expected to work closely with the on-site project management team and multiple sub-contractors at any one time.
Daily duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* On-site coordination of subcontractors and direct labour.
* Implementation of project schedules and programmes to ensure project milestones and deadlines are adhered to.
* Re-programming on-site installation schedules at site level where applicable.
* Responsible for the implementation of Health and Safety procedures.
* Managing daily and weekly progress meetings.
* Producing risk assessments and RFI documents.
* Sign off completed installation works.
* Material procurement across the life cycle of the project.
* Coordinating lifting operations with specialist teams.
* Building relationships both up and down the supply chain to ensure communication is enhanced.
* Reporting into the Project Director.
Project locations: City of London.
