Our client, a leading company in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Senior Track Engineer for a long-term contract role in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a large infrastructure project, with a hybrid working option available. The role falls inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage engineering activity on the project and support design reviews
Interface with other disciplines
Develop the plan for engineering works and advise on current schemes
Ensure Work Package Plans and Task Briefs are produced and in place
Mentor other engineers
Job Requirements:
Experience in a similar role on previous rail projects
Excellent knowledge of track renewals
Strong understanding of plain line and S&C
Previous experience as a P-Way Technical Officer or Senior Engineer
Holds a PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification
Ideally holds Stressing L1, L2, and L3 qualifications (not essential)
Valid UK driving licence
