Job Title:
A Senior Electronics Engineer role is available within our highly successful, leading-edge product development and technology services company.
We have been involved in several diverse and exciting electromechanical system development projects, including a rapidly manufactured ventilator system for the UK government, virus detection technologies, advanced agricultural machinery, surgical robotics, novel drink dispensing technology, and a next-generation radiotherapy system.
Key Responsibilities
* Design high-quality analogue and digital circuits for client projects at all stages within the product development lifecycle, from feasibility through to manufacture.
* Lead electronics hardware development within multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to decompose complex requirements and establish the most appropriate system architecture.
* Contribute to design review, FMEA, and DFM activities.
* Interact with clients to plan projects, identify and formalise design requirements, implement, test, and ultimately hand over finished designs.
* Architect and lead integration, issue resolution, and verification activities at hardware and system level, including oversight of specialist external labs.
Requirements
* A proven track record of multiple electronics design product development lifecycles.
* A passion for designing both analogue and digital circuits.
* Desire to learn new electronic technologies.
* Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Detailed project planning and execution experience.
* A good academic background with a degree or postgraduate qualification in electronics, engineering, or a related subject.
Additional Skills
* Proven FPGA hardware design experience, including VHDL/Verilog programming.
* Simulation of designs using Spice and/or RF simulators.
* Motion control (actuators and sensors) and robotic systems experience.
* RF design, test, and compliance to 6GHz experience.
* Requirements management tools and systems experience.
Work Environment
Your work will be based primarily at our Sagentia offices in Harston, Cambridge. There may also be opportunities to travel to client sites in Europe or the USA as well as support project work at other Science Group sites.
