As we scale, we’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Head of People to shape our people strategy, culture, and talent management. You’ll play a key role in building a thriving workplace where individuals are inspired, engaged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
As the first Head of People at Free Soul, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of 1 and driving our people strategy, from recruitment and onboarding to performance, development, and culture. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to foster an inclusive, high-performance culture while helping the company scale in a way that reflects our values.
Key Responsibilities:
* People Strategy & Culture: Define and execute a people strategy that aligns with Free Soul’s mission, nurturing a positive, inclusive culture as we grow.
* Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring we attract top talent and deliver an exceptional onboarding experience that sets new hires up for success.
* Employee Engagement & Growth: Create initiatives to boost employee engagement, foster a learning environment, and support career development.
* Performance & Development: Evolve a performance system that encourages growth, feedback, and high performance.
* Compensation & Benefits: Ensure our compensation and benefits packages are competitive, attractive, and aligned with our values.
* HR Systems & Compliance: Set up efficient HR processes and ensure compliance with UK employment law, building the HR framework as we scale.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in a senior People role, ideally in a start-up or high-growth environment.
* Passionate about building and nurturing a positive, inclusive culture.
* Experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and scaling HR systems.
* Proven experience in coaching and developing Leaders and Managers to enhance their effectiveness and performance
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
