Job summary Practitioner Psychologist (Part Time, band 8a or band 7) or CBT/Systemic therapist (band 7) in the Dementia and Older People's Mental Health Service (DOPMHs), Worthing, West Sussex We are very excited to be able to offer this maternity cover 0.5wte Band 8a Psychology Practitioner or 0.6wte Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist/ CBT therapist/ Systemic therapist post working with people with dementia and older people with mental health problems in Worthing, Shoreham and Littlehampton. The post would be suitable for an HCPC registered Psychology Practitioner with post qualification experience or accredited CBT/Systemic therapist. The post will be based in our DOPMH community team which provides assessment and intervention to people with dementia and their families presenting with more complexity and for people over 70 with other mental health issues. You will be part of highly-skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team based in Worthing. Main duties of the job You would be working alongside other Practitioner Psychologists, Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner and trainee Clinical Psychologists. The post-holder will ideally be familiar with working in an NHS setting. We would welcome applicants able to provide both direct and indirect psychological work, preferably with experience of team consultant/formulation and working in care home settings. Knowledge and skills in neuropsychology would be welcome but not essential. The post holder will be expected to travel across the geographical area covered by the team.
