About the Role:
Our client, a leading provider of financial services to UK businesses, is looking for an experienced Relationship Manager to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an established company during a period of growth. In this role, youll manage a portfolio of commercial clients, primarily focused on Invoice Finance arrangements, ensuring profitability, maximising revenue, and delivering outstanding customer service.
This position is ideal for a proactive, motivated individual with a solid background in financial services, especially within Invoice Finance, Commercial Banking, or Corporate Banking. Youll serve as a brand ambassador, maintaining effective risk management while cultivating and strengthening client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a portfolio of Invoice Finance clients, ensuring high service standards and maximising client retention.
Conduct regular client facility reviews, including annual and ad hoc assessments for changes to existing facilities.
Prepare and present reports on restructures, ensuring security reviews and updates are completed.
Collaborate with sales directors and senior management to assess and mitigate high-risk facilities.
Retain and grow existing revenue streams, identifying new business opportunities within the portfolio.
Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act (DPA), Credit Policy, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitor portfolios according to Risk Cohorts and prepare for monthly portfolio reviews.
Analyse financial information to make informed and strategic decisions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at both individual and board levels.
Identify opportunities for new business from within the existing client base.
Key Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in financial services, particularly in Invoice Finance, Factoring, or Commercial Banking.
Strong skills in underwriting and risk management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships both verbally and in writing.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficient in interpreting business accounts and financial information.
A valid UK drivers licence is essential.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Invoice Finance and Asset-Based Lending products.
Previous experience in a Relationship Management role or a relevant junior role (e.g., Client Executive, Assistant Client Manager).
