We are recruiting for a Senior Respiratory & Sleep Physiologist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. This post is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, dynamic team and develop as a respiratory and sleep physiologist. You will receive in house mentoring and training in simple and complex lung function testing, sleep diagnostics and the treatment of sleep disordered breathing. Focusing on performing a range of lung function testing, interpretation and reporting fully independently; interpreting respiratory polygraphy traces; performing CPAP treatment setup, routine follow-up, and troubleshooting. The unit is committed to participating in ongoing research, both locally and at a national level. Training post option available - Within six months, the applicant will be offered a promotion to a band 6 senior respiratory and sleep physiologist provided all training requirements and competencies have been met, making this an excellent opportunity for physiologists starting their career or looking to broaden their everyday practice. The post holder needs to be able to run Lung Function tests independently and ideally have experience with CPAP treatment but will be given any necessary training to complement their skills. The Senior Respiratory & Sleep Physiologist will be expected to perform highly complex specialist and advanced clinical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the two disciplines of clinical respiratory and clinical sleep physiology, to adult patients, from a range of specialties. The post holder will work as part of a team, prioritise, and manage the workload and work flexibly with staff at all levels. If you do not have all the skills and competencies for this post, we would still encourage you to apply as we are happy to support in-house training. Whilst you undergo training you would work as a band 5 until all skills and competencies are met.
