Automotive General Administrator – Join Our Team in Thorne, Doncaster Major Recruitment is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Automotive General Administrator for our client based in Thorne, Doncaster. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible depending on business needs) Salary: £23,795 - £27,000 per annum Key Responsibilities: Oversee and track all technical and refurbishment work on returning vehicles, ensuring maximum revenue by applying the correct rates and presenting work for authorisation. Review job cards for technical and refurbishment work, ensuring accurate audit trails and proper invoicing using relevant IT systems. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management, aiding in operational decision-making related to throughput, resource planning, and more. Create, update, and manage relevant data using Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets. Ensure all chargeable tasks for vehicle rectification are invoiced accurately and in line with contractual agreements to maximize revenue. Administer sold and auction vehicle requests, managing the entire process from distribution to refurbishment, ensuring timely delivery to the purchasing dealer. Provide administrative support to the Remarketing Team in relation to vehicle disposals for both Group Car Scheme and other Group-owned vehicles across various sales channels. Compile and send necessary documentation for each sold vehicle to the appropriate retailer. Efficiently manage incoming post and phone inquiries. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that the service quality and procedures outlined are adhered to and continuously improved where possible. Stay informed about the company’s Health & Safety responsibilities and ISO 9001 accreditation. Gain awareness and training on environmental matters in line with the ISO 14001 standard. The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of vehicles, is highly desirable. Experience as an Automotive General Administrator is advantageous but not required. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
