Job Summary: The Asbestos Contract Manager will oversee all asbestos-related projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing contracts, and leading a team of skilled professionals. This role is vital to maintaining our high standards of safety and service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Join Smiths and play a crucial role in ensuring service excellence and creating a safer environment for all Manage asbestos contracts from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to determine project requirements. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure all asbestos management practices are compliant. Develop and implement health and safety procedures related to asbestos removal and management. Prepare and review project documentation, including risk assessments and method statements. Monitor project progress and performance, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes. Provide training and support to team members on best practices in asbestos management. Skills/qualifications: Proven experience in asbestos management. Strong understanding of current legislation and regulations regarding asbestos. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously. Experience in managing teams. Strong communication and leadership skills. UKATA Licenced Asbestos Contracts Manager certificate preferred. SMSTS preferred. What can we offer you?
