What you'll do: To be responsible for programming and operation of CNC 5-Axis Router, and complete the CNC operation on manufactured parts and, where relevant associated tooling. Fully participate in the development and sustainment of best practice method. - Load and unload CNC 5-Axis router in line with planning and delivery schedules - Design, test and run CNC Programming activities, using the appropriate software Support and conforms to Quality procedures to maintain compliance, by ensuring adherence to the defined processes and procedures. - Carry out tasks without supervision, train and mentor others to use equipment where required - Work with team to identify and drive productivity and performance improvement opportunities to support cost reductions. - Have an understanding of lean manufacturing processes and work with team - Contribute to the continuous development of the safety, health and environment requirements within the work area - Actively supports and progresses own development needs to ensure task flexibility via the use of Skills matrix. - Has an annual and interim PDR's with line manager - Understand team targets, any key issues or concerns and keep up to date with any other communications - Escalation of issues to relevant supervisors/managers in timely manner Qualifications: - Understands and is able to perform a number of tasks within the team - Has completed a recognised apprenticeship or experience to equivalent depth, and or breadth. - Able to demonstrate relevant experience within the skill group Key measures and milestones: -To attain approved operator stamp with scope approval relevant to job role -Understanding lean methodology and principles -To complete tasks on-time and to the required standard -To minimise job card variances -To adhere to SHE requirements of the area.
