This position would be well suited to a multiskilled engineering leader who has experience of managing small teams, engineering budgets, capex projects, continuous improvement and PPM scheduling. Roles and Responsibilities:
* Accountable for all activities within the engineering function.
* Zero tolerance approach to safety standards, ensuring that all are working safely.
* Maximise and constantly improve equipment performance.
* Ensure that the engineering planning process is managed robustly, ensuring high levels of compliance.
* Contribute to identification and delivery of improvement projects.
* Manage engineering budget and look for opportunities to create value.
* Manage inventory levels through engineering team.
* Develop and execute plan to protect site from equipment obsolescence.
* Manage site capital programme.
* Identify areas of weakness and establish strategy to upskill team to improve resilience.
Requirements:
* Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications / time served apprenticeship.
* Experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation with relevant safety systems, quality standards, housekeeping standards etc.
* Experience of leading a team.
* Experience of leading and delivering change desirable.
* Experience of budget control.
* Experience of managing capital programme desirable.
* Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems.
