Bank - Hours as and when required
We are currently seeking Bank Catering Assistants to work in our busy hospital kitchen and coffee bars, providing high-quality food and beverage services to patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals for patients, staff, and visitors
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in the kitchen and coffee bars
* Serve hot and cold beverages, snacks, and meals to hospital staff and visitors
* Ensure a clean and welcoming environment in the coffee bar and kitchen areas
* Work alongside a friendly and professional team to provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential
* A passion for food and customer service
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* A flexible and reliable approach to work
* Flexible working hours to suit your availability

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
