Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of controls engineers across various sites in the UK, ensuring the maintenance and continuous improvement of automated production cells. Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance the team’s knowledge and problem-solving capabilities in automation systems. Modernise PLC platforms and integrated control systems across multiple sites. Oversee the integration of advanced technology within new and existing systems. Act as the subject matter expert for control systems, automation equipment, and Series equipment processes. Collaborate with project management teams to ensure the smooth implementation of new products and technologies. What We’re Looking For Current, valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites across the UK. Extensive experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with a focus on automation and robotics. Strong background in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems, with the ability to read, interpret, and write PLC code in multiple languages. Proven leadership experience, managing teams and overseeing large-scale engineering projects. Comprehensive understanding of automation cells, semi-automated equipment, and manufacturing processes. Excellent project management skills, with experience implementing new products and technologies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
