Job summary
Kenmore Medical Centre is a large friendly surgery with a registered list of approx 12,300 patients in the centre of Wilmslow.
The Team at Kenmore consists of three partners, eight salaried doctors, a nursing team, HCA team, GP registrars, two nurse practitioners, clinical pharmacists, social prescribers and we have access to a large range of other services within our PCN - CHAW.
The whole team works effectively together to provide an excellent service to our patients.
We are looking for a receptionist to join our friendly team starting as soon as possible.
There is currently hours available we would also consider a job share if this suits applicants.
Main duties of the job
To provide excellent service to patients. The work is varied and interesting it includes answering the phone, making appointments, welcoming patients and visitors, listening and understanding patient needs, resolving queries and signposting patients to appropriate service or appointment. You need to be well motivated and friendly with good people skills, enjoy working in a busy environment and being part of a team. Be able to communicate clearly and effectively, showing understanding, care and assertiveness when appropriate. You will be capable of developing good administrative and organisational skills and have experience of using computers
About us
Kenmore Medical Centre has been serving the community of Wilmslow for over 60 years and is a long-established training practice. We have an active role in the Primary Care Network and are affiliated with Manchester Medical School for undergraduate education and Health Education England for GP Registrar training.
We use EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx & Lexicom and engage with an active Patient Participation Group. The Practice is engaged in minor ops, contraceptive, and specialist gynae care. Our Partners are involved in the ICB, the PCN and we have specialist interests in diabetes, Asthma and COPD.

As part of our reception team you would be expected to provide an excellent service to our patients. The work is varied and intersting and it includes answering the phone, making appointments, actioning online requests from patients, welcoming patients and visitors, listening and understanding patient needs, resolving queries or signposting patients to the appropriate service or appointment.
You need to be well motivated and friendly with good people skills, enjoy working in a busy enviroment and being part of a team. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, showing understanding, care and assertiveness when appropriate. You will be capable of developing good administritive and organisational skills and have experience of using computers. Experience of working in healthacre is not essential as long as you possess the above qualities and are willing and eager to learn new skills and are flexible in your approach to work. We will provide in hours training and continuing support.
We would look at the hours available being split into two separate part time roles
