Your New Role We have a fantastic opportunity for Permanent Waste Operative to join our Surrey Account working from our Surrey Heath Depot (GU15 3DF) 39 hours a week A Waste Operative plays an important part in managing waste effectively, ensuring that highways and surrounding environments are kept clean, safe, and free of debris. This role is vital in promoting a hygienic and aesthetically pleasing community. You Will Be Responsible For Waste management tasks and the overall cleanliness of the highways Collecting and disposing of waste materials from streets, roads, and public areas in a safe and efficient manner. Operating waste collection vehicles and equipment according to safety guidelines. Monitoring and reporting any hazardous waste or illegal dumping activities to the relevant authorities. Ensuring that all waste is segregated and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations. Conducting routine maintenance checks on waste management equipment and reporting any faults or necessary repairs. Assisting in the planning and implementation of waste reduction initiatives and recycling programs.
