Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics (2PA’s) to work on Mondays.
The post consists of personal treatment sessions for complex and multi-disciplinary cases. Aspects of the post will involve supervision and training of specialist trainee registrars.
This post consists of:
• Providing advice and where appropriate treatment
• Helping to develop the service in accordance with Trust Policy
• Teaching, training and supervising postgraduates trainees as appropriate
You will have 4 years full-time post graduate experience (or equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in Orthodontics or as a fixed term specialty trainee in Orthodontics, or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Dental Council at time of application is required.
