* This is a remote role, ideally based around the Leeds area with travel required throughout the North of the UK, including some overnight stays
* Depending on your skills and experience, our starting salary is £41,863 with a car allowance of £6000 per annum alongside our excellent benefits package
What you'll do
As a Safety, Health & Environment Consultant, you’ll be delivering excellent service to a range of customers from small to medium sized businesses, helping them to thrive. You’ll deliver a range of safety, health and environmental support including audits, fire risk assessments and training. This will be predominantly face to face but using Zoom or Teams where appropriate. You’ll also cover our safety, health and environmental help line as required. Utilising your exceptional communication skills, you’ll build an understanding of customer needs to provide the right advice, consultancy and training services.
You’ll also be:
* Collaborating across teams to support the delivery of consultancy and training for colleagues
* Identifying, accurately pricing and delivering additional consultancy and training services for customers
* Delivering new business growth through referrals for services and supporting our sales teams with networking and business generation activities
* Acting within our risk appetite to ensure that any information, advice and guidance is suitable, appropriate, technically correct, relevant and communicated in a clear way
The skills you'll need
We are looking for someone with a professional safety or environmental qualification such as an NVQ 4 or 5, NEBOSH Diploma, recognised degree or equivalent, with extensive post qualification experience and astute attention to detail. You’ll have experience of identifying customer needs and the ability to quickly establish strong customer relationships up to a senior level. Along with a digital mindset, you’ll have the ability to prioritise your workload and experience in delivering training and fire risk assessments.
You’ll also need:
* A minimum of Graduate membership of IOSH, with the expectation of attaining Chartered membership of IOSH within 18 months of joining
* Ideally, but not essential, an associate membership of IEMA
* The ability to identify and deliver business solutions and bespoke service offerings
* The ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements
* A full UK driving licence with use of a car
