How do you ensure high levels of safety and quality across various sites?
This is more than just a job - it’s your opportunity to shape the future of the UK’s electricity network. In this key role, you’ll help expand and strengthen the grid to connect and transport more renewable and low-carbon energy to homes and businesses, supporting the UK’s climate commitments, energy security, and net zero ambitions.
As a Substation Project Supervisor, you’ll oversee a range of construction projects across London (within M25), from transformer and shunt reactor installations to cable replacements, cyber security upgrades, and protection and control system replacements. With a company vehicle, paid travel, and a strong work-life balance culture, you’ll have the support you need to thrive.
Your expertise will ensure that site-based construction activities - whether delivered by our principal contractors or National Grid’s internal teams - are managed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Acting as the Client Representative, you’ll champion safety and quality while ensuring compliance with National Grid policies and procedures.
You’ll support site teams in meeting CDM regulations, help with plant and equipment procurement, conduct regular safety audits, and lead coordination meetings during project delivery. You’ll also contribute to scheme development by completing site visit reports and facilitating site visits with designers.
If you’re passionate about driving impactful projects and being part of a team that’s shaping the UK’s energy future, we’d love to hear from you.
