Job Overview The Holderness Mental Health Team based in Hedon, Hull, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, (22.5 hours per week) Senior Administrative /medical secretary to provide administrative support to the Consultants and wider team. The hours will be 22.5 hours worked over 3 to 4 days per week. Working within a supportive, friendly team. Training, development and regular supervision provided Free parking on site and staff benefits available Main duties of the job Providing secretarial support to the consultants involving audio transcription, arranging clinics, producing documents, use of Lorenzo or SystmOne and dealing with prescription requests. A high level of organisational and interpersonal skill and use of own initiative is essential to this role. The successful candidate will maintain Trust standards when using electronic/computerised records, must have RSAIII and OCRIII/ ECDL/advanced or equivalent and have previous experience of carrying out administrative procedures in an office setting. Experience of using software including Microsoft Word would be advantageous as would the use of patient administration systems. Guidance for less experienced staff will also be expected. A flexible approach will be expected for absence/annual leave cover. Person specification Knowledge Essential Criteria Knowledge of a range of administrative work procedures and practices Literate and numerate level 2 Desirable criteria knowledge of Medical terminology Experience Essential criteria Knowledge and experience of IT systems / exp of patient record systems Organisational skills/ organise clinics Audio transcription / minute taking for professionals meetings Lorenzo Desirable criteria Maintain data in Trust systems Qualifications Essential criteria Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL 3 or more GCSE/O levels which should include English and Maths ‘A’ Level/BTEC Diploma/NVQ3 Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent experiential learning / demonstrable experience within A&C field at Advanced level Personal Attributes Essential Criteria Able to demonstrate inter-personal communication skills Able to plan and prioritise effectively Environment Essential Criteria Light physical effort required for lifting stationery, files, sitting at a keyboard or possibly standing at a reception desk.
