Procure to Pay Subject Matter Expert
Based in Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes, with the flexibility of hybrid working (requirement of a minimum of 3 days office based for this role).
Free shuttle bus available between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park.
At FCDO Services, we protect the UK’s interests at home and overseas. We design and construct secure government buildings, courier diplomatic packages worldwide, safeguard government tech, and a whole lot more. Our work is as varied and vital as it gets, but we never lose sight of our people. Their skills, aspirations and growth mean as much as the mission we're on. In our world, it all matters.
As a Procure to Pay Subject Matter Expert working for our global organisation, you’ll join a small, close-knit and highly supportive team, and work on the day-to-day running, maintenance and set-up of our ERP System, which includes Accounts Payable, Expenses, Procurement, Inventory and Travel Package. You’ll also be ready to provide specialist advice to our users while ensuring you keep up-to-speed with changes in our business environment and the latest developments in Oracle.
You’ll have a wide range of additional responsibilities – these include modifying the P2P module configuration as required, and ensuring the system is up to date and reflects our organisation’s structure, processes and policies. We’ll also expect you to identify and correct P2P exceptions and update guidance and training material if necessary, and complete the Accounts Payable/Cost Management month-end close processes. The investigation of expenses, procurement and invoice approval workflow exceptions will be another key task, and involves the identification of anomalies and determining corrective action to ensure workflows complete successfully.
To be a success in this vital role
You will need the ability to organise and prioritise while working to tight deadlines, and the skills to quantify and manipulate data and identify anomalies. It’s important that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are ready to work as a collaborative member of a supportive team, and are capable of interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.
A keen learner and logical problem-solver with the ability to provide practical solutions for our customers, you’ll be capable of taking the initiative, responding to business service requirements and managing workloads effectively. You should also possess strong numerical and analytical skills and well-developed knowledge of MS Excel and Word, while experience of using ERP software or a similar product is desirable. In addition, the ability to operate in a commercial environment would be a bonus.
Discover the support you need to grow and develop your career. But we’re always looking to improve – just like you. That’s why when you join us, expect to receive a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement and a Civil Service Pension. Along with this, you’ll also have access to training and other development opportunities to help grow your career with us. Our offices have an on-site gym, nursery, café, and restaurant, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there. It's a great set of benefits made to support all you do, and all you need.
