Job Description
Purpose
This is a project role. The project is for the construction of a, first of its kind, large diameter, high-pressure, cross-country pipeline in the northwest of England.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Programme Manager will be responsible for the programme management of both engineering and construction phases of a major infrastructure project.
The role will require the appointee to work closely with the wider project management team to manage the successful and timely delivery of the project programme, ensuring operations and the commercial teams are fully aligned to the plan. Assure programme submissions are compliant with contract requirements. Lead on programme review sessions with internal and external stakeholders. Own and update the programme risk & issue plan.
Specific Duties
1. Build, manage and maintain detailed resource and cost loaded construction Primavera P6 programme(s) for project delivery.
2. Lead on project control development and manage the progress reporting function to the client.
3. Maintain monitoring progress and ensure the project is on track to achieving key milestones.
4. Update progress into the schedule coordinating with management for each discipline.
5. Inputting risk/delays into the schedule, assessing the impact and reporting into the project management team.
6. Capture any early warnings, variations and other project management instructions into the project schedule.
7. Liaise with the management team to understand the resource profile & productivity assumptions ensuring the schedule is up to date with the latest information.
8. Understand the critical path of the programme and work with the wider team when slippage is identified.
9. Work closely with the commercial team to ensure they are aligned with the programme for commercial forecasting.
10. Own, update and drive resolution of the Risk & Issue log(s).
11. Build strong Client relationships, representing the project management team.
12. Find efficiencies and improvements in internal and external processes.
13. Input data into internal and client systems where required to ensure alignment.
14. Any other duties as assigned.
Experience Needed
1. Exceptional technical knowledge of the Primavera P6 planning software.
2. Proven ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making.
3. Sound industry based legal and contractual understanding.
4. Extensive years of programme management experience, preferably for cross country pipelines.
5. Previous experience working as Programme Manager or similar with a good understanding of all disciplines and their part in the overall project execution.
6. Skilled in identifying, handling, and mitigating technical risk in construction projects.
7. Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel nationally.

4. Good level of IT skills including Excel, and other Microsoft packages.

2. This job is a full-time role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Warrington Office.
