As part of our expansion in Birmingham, we are seeking an experienced leader to head up our Employer Engagement function. The Role: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Employer Engagement Manager to lead and develop our client acquisition strategy and team within the Birmingham office. You will be responsible for driving the growth of our client portfolio, managing and mentoring the Employer Engagement Consultant(s), setting strategic direction, and ensuring the team achieves its targets for securing quality job vacancies. This is a key leadership role within our Birmingham branch, requiring a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on client management, and inspirational team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, coach, and develop the Employer Engagement Consultant(s), fostering a high-performance culture. Initiate contact and get employers onboarded via calls, email, LinkedIn. Develop, implement, and monitor the success of the employer engagement strategy for the Birmingham region. Set, track, and manage individual and team KPIs related to client outreach, meetings, vacancy generation, and client acquisition. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support to team members. Personally identify, develop, and manage relationships with key strategic clients and high-value prospects. Oversee the team's efforts in building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential clients. Analyse the Birmingham job market, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform strategy and identify new growth opportunities. Ensure effective collaboration between the Employer Engagement team and the Recruitment/Candidate Delivery team to optimise placement success. Report regularly to senior management on team performance, pipeline activity, market conditions, and strategic initiatives. Ensure the CRM system is utilised effectively by the team for accurate record-keeping and reporting. Represent Future Connect Recruitment Ltd. at a senior level in client negotiations, presentations, and potentially at relevant industry or networking events. Contribute actively to the overall operational success and growth strategy of the Birmingham branch. About You: Essential: Significant experience (e.g., 5 years recommended) in B2B sales, business development, or employer engagement, primarily within the recruitment agency sector. Essential: Proven experience (e.g., 1-2 years recommended) in successfully managing, leading, and motivating a sales or business development team. Essential: Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding personal and team targets for new business acquisition and client relationship management. Essential: Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities. Essential: Exceptional leadership, coaching, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Essential: In-depth knowledge of the full recruitment lifecycle and a strong understanding of the Birmingham business landscape and job market. Essential: Must be able to work full-time from our Birmingham office. Commercially astute with strong analytical skills. Highly organised, results-oriented, and capable of working effectively under pressure. Desirable: Experience in developing and reporting on sales/BD strategies.
