An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Legal Services Team at Swansea Bay Health Board as a Redress Case Manager.
We are seeking enthusiastic, driven and patient-focussed individuals who can manage a complex redress case load under the National Health Service (Concerns, Complaints and Redress Arrangements) (Wales) Regulations 2011.

Main duties of the job
They will support the Health Board's compliance with the 2011 Regulations by ensuring effective and efficient management of a complex case load which will be inherited from the Service Delivery Unit across Swansea Bay Health Board.
This post will also require the ability to cope with change and demands of the organisation, working closely with colleagues in the Redress team as well as the wider Legal Services team in the Health Board, to deliver and generate good outcomes for the Health Board.
You will be required to support Service Delivery Units in legal queries or matters arising out of the 2011 Regulations, as well as playing a role in ensuring a patient-centered investigation is delivered at all times in line with the Health Board's value.
The post holder will also be responsible to ensure case deadlines and requests are met in line with the requirements imposed, such as the management of cases and submissions under the Welsh Risk Pool procedures.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, be able to organise a large case load effectively, be a representative of the team, liaise with senior colleagues routinely this will require excellent leadership skills, and the ability to develop excellent working relations with colleagues and external agencies such as claimant solicitors and Welsh Risk Pool Services.

Qualification / Knowledge
Essential
* Law degree (or equivalent)
* Knowledge of relevant procedures and guidelines including NHS Redress (Putting things Right), Civil Procedure Rules, and the Coroners and Justice Act 2009
* Knowledge of clinical governance and risk management
Desirable
* Qualification in medical negligence law
* Previous NHS experience
* Practical experience with PTR Regulations
