About the role
@one Alliance is a partnership of eight leading companies—Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO—delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. As we enter AMP8, our most ambitious Asset Management Period, we are preparing to undertake our largest project yet. We’re seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to play a key role in delivering cutting-edge solutions for AMP8.
What you'll be doing
Key responsibilities:
1. Responsible for provision and interpretation of the financial performance information for the alliance.
2. Month end project analysis, forecasting accuracy, performance metrics and analysis into Risk and Opportunity schedule.
3. Ensure the information provided is accurate and reflective of the performance of the alliance.
4. Lead @One self assurance governance and processes in conjunction with commercial assurance and alliance partner representatives.
5. Responsible for accurate cost reporting across the alliance.
6. Actively involved in continual improvement in the @one alliance reporting, with development of automated reporting.
Who we're looking for
The following Skills and Qualifications are essential:
1. Professional finance qualification ie CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
2. Experience of working in the Utilities sector and or contract accounting would be advantageous.
3. Have experience of Capital Accounting.
4. Financial modelling skills (including macros) and a detailed understanding of financial forecasting is essential.
5. Must be flexible, demonstrate people management experience.
6. Able to manage pressure, meet strict deadlines, have an ability to challenge operational management at all levels.
