GENERAL FUNCTION
The Training Expert is responsible for the delivery, facilitation and monitoring of Leonardo learning & development activities across his/her assigned area of expertise and scope. You will play a crucial role in inspiring and motivating learners from a wide variety of business units from wholesale clients to retail shop floor staff, office colleagues and lab technicians.
You will provide a consultative interaction with stakeholders to promote alignment of the training contents to the business needs and to the relevant target. This includes partnering with Leonardo leadership and Education Managers in creating learning curriculums, engaging activities, and impactful content to make a positive impact for all learners within the subject matter expertise.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Motivate, coach, and inspire learners to reach their potential in leadership, management or professional skills.
* Ensure onboarding content is updated in line with both global and local market strategy for new hires, and that “Welcome” materials are relevant and engaging.
* Monitor and report on the timely completion of onboarding pathways by new hires across the business, equipping them via learning, to understand the organization’s expectations and standards.
* Collaborate with local subject matter experts, and with the Global Leonardo faculty to provide solutions to meet with local compliance learning requirements.
* Partner with the business to design and deliver in-person and virtual training courses, relevant to the local market, including blended programs utilizing EssilorLuxottica’s online learning platform, to meet business goals and objectives.
* Manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively to d rive and promote learning curriculum for assigned scope and area.
* Analyze learner needs and collaborate with education manager, local stakeholders and Global learning team to ensure assignment of relevant learning content to a target audience, to meet the changing needs of a fast-paced business.
* Lead learning initiatives and track / report on Leonardo KPIs, contributing ideas for continuous engagement of learners in the Leonardo learning offer.
* Partner with the Education Manager on the effective assessment of how learning has impacted behaviour to drive performance results. Gather learner feedback and summarize to local and corporate team to evolve training offerings.
* Build relationships with learners to foster digital learning and cultivate a culture of learning to enhance sales and client relationships.
* Review localized content for digital courses of the assigned scope and area.
* Innovate to improve learning experiences through research, staying informed on market initiatives and virtual delivery trends.
* Support field leadership in team building and engagement, presenting at roadshow, summits and client trade events where required.
* Provide consistent and timely support to resolve learner’s queries and questions.
* To work in line with duty of care to self/others and ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed in line with company policy.
* To work in line with local and Group Environmental & energy policies and best practice.
* To work in line with local and EU legislation, abiding by the legal compliance policy in the performing of these duties
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in training delivery (both virtual and in-person) and learning development.
* Experience in a management / leadership role
* Proficient in digital and virtual learning tools
* Exceptional facilitation, communication (both written & verbal), and motivational skills
* Fluent written and spoken English
* Strong relationship and stakeholder management abilities
* Comfortable in providing live feedback to colleagues.
* Problem solving and generating creative solutions
* The ability to adapt to different circumstances and audiences.
* Adaptable, proactive and able to effectively prioritize.
* Experience with reporting tasks and excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel).
* Learning, Coaching or HR management qualification or equivalent experience preferred
* This is a Hybrid role, with some travel required: candidate should be based in commutable distance to either Ruddington or Kensington office, with ability to travel to other sites where necessary
