An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time Administration Coordinator for our Theatres/ Surgical Day Case Unit, at Weston General Hospital!
Weston theatres is a small, friendly unit with a real passion for delivering the highest standards of care. We have 6 theatres; 2 in our Surgical Day Case Unit and 4 in our Main Theatre Unit.
We cover a wide range of specialities including general & colorectal surgery, breast surgery, urology, gynaecology, orthopaedics and trauma.
We have a small but busy recovery unit.
To provide day to day admin support to the Theatre Matron and the theatre/SDCU sisters to ensure the smooth running of all theatre areas.
Performing daily administrative tasks, to include the production of accurate operating lists for all theatre areas, liaising with other departments/wards within the hospital, dealing with telephone calls and external companies.
There is an audit element to this position as well as a supporting role in the coordination of statutory mandatory training, annual leave and appraisals.
This job will involve long periods of concentration with VDU work with constant interruptions.
The successful candidate must be comfortable to work in the clinical environment.
